WA Ginsberg team win silver medal
Congratulations to the WA Ginsberg Team, Silver Medal Winners
Ryan Smith (C), Louis Cassell, Jacob Ruck, Lyndon Lodge (A), Luke Bretzke, Blair Minson, Kieran Webster (A), Harry Tanner, Tom Hogarth, Haylen Williams, Lachlan Dwyer, Liam Campbell, Stephen McCann (GK), Stuart Raine, Dave Ruck (Coach), Evan Tanner (Team Manager). The team went from being 4th placed to playing off against NSW in the grand final, after beating the 1st placed team (VIC) in the semi-finals. The team only lost the gold after tying the game, going into overtime, and losing on penalty shots. They should be very proud to bring home the first silver medal in their age group since 1987 - what a fantastic effort.
Nominations for State Team coaches & assistant coaches
We are currently seeking applications for coaches and assistant coaches for the state teams for next year.
Each year all are made available for application. Please forward your expression of interest to me by 16th August.
We are seeking and processing applications earlier than previous years, in order to have better preparation.

Ice Hockey Australia won the rights to host the IIHF's World 2011 Division II Group A Championships at the IIHF's 2010 Annual Congress in Cologne, Germany.

The Championships are scheduled to be held at the new Docklands Ice House, Melbourne, Australia from the 03 - 11 April 2011. The participating teams are (in order of ranking): Serbia / Australia / Belgium / New Zealand / Mexico / DPR Korea.
